TERRA

Set in a war zone, a war doctor and his medical team are compelled to operate in an underground makeshift hospital, where they encounter a desperate father willing to do whatever it takes to receive assistance. In a situation where survival is paramount, morality often becomes the first casualty.

TERRA is an isolated, tension-filled drama, primarily set in a makeshift hospital within a war zone. The narrative intertwines three stories: a father and child determined to escape the conflict at any cost, a student nurse whose eagerness to assist compromises her innocence, and a seasoned war doctor, disillusioned by experience, who must make impossible decisions under dire circumstances.

Rory Wilson is a British self-taught filmmaker whose work delves into intimate human stories navigating moral dilemmas. He writes, shoots, and edits his own films.

Before his debut feature Terra, Rory's short films received recognition from the BFI and were featured on esteemed streaming platforms such as Omeleto and Samansa. He was selected for both the BFI and Warner Bros Discovery Emerging Directors Programmes in 2026.

His films are driven by a strong personal vision, rooted in character and place, often utilizing minimal resources. Terra represents a significant milestone in Rory’s filmmaking journey—an independently produced, locally cast feature that continues his dedication to authentic, thought-provoking cinema.
