Traditionally, education in private Catholic schools was characterized by strict oversight, rigid discipline, and enforced morality—often sacrificing individual freedom. This approach may have been inherited from a stern Church that once played a central role in the witch hunts, labeling witchcraft as a heretical and diabolical act. It is within this tension between authority and mysticism that our story unfolds: a quest for freedom in the face of a conservative ideology’s grip. The Canadian music video project is directed by Jessica Fecteau and Robert Desroches and will screen as an official selection of the Montreal independent Film Festival on May 10th from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Jessica Fecteau is an acclaimed art director and director with a talent for storytelling and visual craft. After studying graphic design and art direction, Jessica began her career in advertising in 2017 by working for BETC Paris on campaigns for brands such as Lacoste, as well as on cultural projects supported by a creative exhibition center in the Greater Paris region. She currently works for Cossette Montréal, where she serves as lead art director on creative projects for brands like VIA Rail Canada, Québec’s Tourism Industry, l’Université de Montréal, and Québec’s Casinos. In 2024, she co-directed her first commercial for VIA Rail Canada, followed by a music video for Rosier in 2025.

Born and raised in Montréal, Robert Desroches grew up in a multicultural and open-minded environment that fueled his passion for visual art. After studying film, Rob worked as a director and photographer on creative music videos and dance projects. His artistic background significantly influenced his commercial work, particularly his ability to enhance every image and idea to its full potential while adding his own twist.
