Tell Me Where To Go

Tell Me Where To Go is the latest single from West-Country raised, London based singer-songwriter Peter Beatty, released on Nightjar Recordings. Tell Me Where To Go is taken from Peter's debut album, Different Flowers due for release in May 2024. Peter previously found acclaim as singer and songwriter with the British cult folk-pop band Urusen. Tell Me Where To Go was released with a multi award winning animated video by Peter and he is being featured in the latest episode of ‘In The Studio’, broadcast on the BBC World Service on 12th March.

Tell Me Where To Go is a sonorous ballad with a lush, chamber arrangement, drawing comparisons to contemporaries such as Stornoway and Sufjan Stevens. "The song is inspired by a boat trip from a few years back and is about looking for signals from the universe and those around us" says Peter, "lyrically it gives an account, but I also wanted it to entice by painting a picture; all the magical possibilities of an adventure with friends". Some of Peter's other influences range from 60s and 70s singer songwriters such as Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan to contemporary alternative artists such as Big Thief, Richard Hawley and Laura Viers.
