International Seasonal Competition of MIFF Canada

The Montreal Independent Film Festival is a hybrid event occurring both seasonally and annually, featuring film screenings at Montreal's Cinema du Parc and online showcases through the Montreal Independent Film magazine for seasonal nominees in various genres. The festival offers theater screenings for the year's finalists, while seasonal nominees benefit from digital marketing and online exposure through the platform. Each season, the programming committee selects and nominates projects, with a judging team of filmmakers, critics, and artists voting for the best in each category.

Annual screening at the Cinema du Parc

This seasonal international competition has gained popularity among indie filmmakers and artists worldwide. Participants compete in different sections of the festival, aiming for promotion and screenings either online or in theaters as annual finalists. Twice a year, the public can attend free screenings at Cinema du Parc, fostering support for indie cinema and linking Montreal's film enthusiasts with international and Canadian independent filmmakers from various genres.

Annual screening at the Cinema du Parc

Each season, the programming committee meticulously selects films and script projects from a vast array of submissions, nominating artists for various competition categories that provide awards and honorable mentions in areas like acting, directing, cinematography, screenwriting, editing, music video, experimental cinema, animation, student film, and more. The festival also recognizes films that address human rights, environmental, and social issues worldwide. We are pleased to announce the winners and honorable mentions of the seasonal festival. It is our pleasure to announce the latest seasonal winners of the fest.
