JAUNATIS at the Cinema du Parc of Montreal

"Jaunatis" is an experimental short from China and directed by Bingqing Mou. The film uses the tension of dance, music, and visual effects to reflect each of us through the dancers. The carrier of circulation can be commodities, the body, or a void medium that transcends matter and rises to the spiritual level.

Using the three births to start the cycle, from the awakening of independent consciousness, I began to have different perceptions of the outside world. In the first time, I went from rationality to desire, self-examination when being spied on, trying to gain recognition in the chaos, in order to cater to, and in order to To be recognized, or to satisfy the surge of love in your heart? In the end, I lost myself in this desolate and desolate land; the second rebirth is still a cycle with the same diameter, meeting and entangled, like the heavy steps of Sisyphus after being cursed; with the opening of the last dancer Eyes, we are all confused and cannot tell whether the things that cause us desire, pain or even joy have become ourselves, or whether they belong to us.

"Jaunatis" is a finalist of Montreal Independent Film Festival and will screen as part of the annual festival on Sunday, Sept 22d at the Cinema du Parc of Montreal.
