'Awakening' is a story of a once successful attorney, who goes into depression and becomes an alcoholic when life takes a sudden twist due to some unforeseen events. The plot is about how the protagonist finds a solution for his misery and how he comes out of his depression and alcoholism.
Venkata Mangalagiri is an M.D by profession and also an alumni of NYFA in film making and graduated from Online film making course in April, 2021. Awakening is director's second film after he graduated from NFYA in 2021. His first film titled "Amber" won best thriller award at the Toronto International Film festival at CIFT in October 2021.
